About Help a Bro'Da
A registered, survivor-led, youth-focused CBO founded in 2020, working hand-in-hand with adolescents and young people in Mombasa's informal settlements.

Our Story
Help a Bro'Da was born in 2020 from a simple but powerful conviction: young people in our communities deserve more than to be talked about — they deserve to be heard, equipped, and trusted to lead. Founded in Mombasa, Kenya, we work with adolescents and young people in vulnerable communities to address gender-based violence, mental health, sexual and reproductive health, and economic empowerment through practical, community-driven solutions. Our approach is grounded in feminist leadership and lived experiences, ensuring young people are not just beneficiaries — but leaders of change.

To empower youths, women, and communities through advocacy, capacity building, psychosocial support, and economic empowerment initiatives.
Our Vision
A just, empowered, and resilient society free from violence and discrimination.
Where We Work
We are based in Mombasa, Kenya, and operate primarily in the informal settlements of Kisauni and Nyali — areas where the need for youth-centred, survivor-led services is greatest. Our work also reaches children in correctional facilities at Shimo La Tewa Borstal Institution.
Who We Serve
We work with adolescents and youth aged 10–24, young mothers and teenage parents, GBV survivors, vulnerable boys and young men, children in correctional facilities, and community youth groups.
